Friday, May 30, 2008: Teachers, Traveling

He sat in the back of a lecture hall. A swarthy, bald man with an upturned moustache was giving a lecture. A man wearing glasses and a suit sat in the front row. A jovial man, also in a suit, sat behind him. There were others, too, between him and the back of the class.

In a different dream, he sat in the left back seat of an SUV, his father driving along a street at night. They were to meet his aunt at a restaurant for dinner in a strange city. Why this city? They did not know. As they closed upon the destination, they were no longer driving. His father walked along the sidewalk, and he rode a bicycle.

Sunday, December 23, 2007: Small white room

I sat on the hardwood floor in a large room in a luxury apartment. Under a dining table, I saw a hole in the floor. I could see people sitting in the apartment below.

I crawled on the floor into a white room. The room was smaller than the others, and lit from the outside. As I reached around the room, I felt cobwebs brushing my arms. This made me feel uncomfortable, so I crawled out of the room.

I stood up, got dressed, and rolled a bicycle down the hall; I was off to a new job, and I did not want to be late.

In February, I had a similar dream.

Friday, May 18, 2007: Bicycle Blues, Church Magic, Big Ape

I had a dream that I was riding a bicycle with blue tires, through a shopping mall, while wearing blue shoes.

The I had a dream that I was at a church gathering, where the preacher was performing stage magic, involving two rings and light.

Finally, I dreamed that I was sitting on the edge of my bed, playing a video game. The game involved killing apes. Suddenly, King Kong peered through my door. He smashed me with his massive fist. I felt like a boulder was dropped on top of me.

Wednesday, April 18, 2007: Bicycling

At twilight, my wife and I bicycled on Lincoln Street in our home city. Traffic was light. Soon, we were bicycling in Vermont. We stopped at a bridge that crossed a river. Some workers were fixing the bridge. We bounced a ball, and it fell in the water near the workers; they bounced it back to us. We bicycled on.

Monday, February 12, 2007: Another Bicycle Dream

A narrator was discussing the new ultralight and sleek bicycle that I was riding. As others tried to pursue me, by foot, by bike, and by car, I outpaced them at every turn. I rode next to a fenced median. With my left hand, I grabbed the top of the fence. I lifted myself and the bike over the fence to the other side of the road without stopping.

Friday, February 09, 2007: Platforms, Spiders, Bicycle

I was in a large dimly lit interior space. Overhead hung thin flexible wooden platforms. I climbed up a flimsy staircase to one of the platforms.

Eventually, I found myself on more solid footing, but my passage was blocked by spiderwebs. I could see spiders crawling in the webs. I ran through the webs as fast as I could. On the other side, I flailed my arms and legs to shake off any spiders clinging to me.

Finally, I found myself outside, riding on a bicycle that had pedals for both hands and feet. I was conversing with a companion about this novel vehicle, though I do not recall who it was.
